The Gateway is emblematic of key elements of Dubai’s history. Like the city of Dubai itself it will appear as a shimmering vision at the edge of the desert. Sweeping to its highest point 100 metres above the water, the Gateway will provide visitors with unique experiences in crossing the Creek, dramatically illuminated at night to appear as a necklace, resembling a graceful string of pearls suspended above the water. The Dubai Creek will be joined by the Heritage Bridge, a 175-metre long structure connecting the historic souks of Deria and Bur Duba, over a gently stepped arch sheltered around its tubular frame.
